Diamond Fishing Charters is owned and operated by myself, Capt. John Diamond. I am a full time guide living on Pine Island and operating out of Four Winds Marina in Bokeelia. I have been fishing these local waters for over 25+ years and have been fishing professionally for over 7 years. I am a US Coast Guard Master Captain and a member of the Florida Guides Association. I am currently on the Pro-staff for Shoalwater boats, Quantum rods and reels and, Triple-fish fishing lines, and Betts tackle. As a third generation native of Fort Myers, Florida, and a fourth generation  "cracker" , I just plain love to fish. Growing up I spent as much time as I could on the water fishing these local waters, and learning the basics of saltwater fishing from my family. It wasn't long until I was "hooked" on chasing Redfish, Snook, Trout, Jacks, Tarpon, Sharks, and other saltwater gamefish on the flats and in the backcountry of Pine Island Sound, Matlacha Pass, and Charlotte Harbor. My pursuit of fish continued and soon I found myself fishing in the knee deep, chilly blue ribbon trout streams of Montana. I then took my angling education to the United States Coast Guard  where I served as a search and rescue crewman at the heavy weather small boat station in Northwest Washington. In between rescues and training I fished non-stop for salmon, steelhead, trout and halibut. I then moved to Miami, Florida, where I chased Bonefish, Permit, Snook, and Tarpon in Biscayne Bay for a couple of years before becoming homesick for my native waters.

There is something truly magical about this area, and its my goal on a Diamond Fishing Charter to not only put you on some of our resident line-burners , but also share with you this unique shallow water eco-system.
